To say that I love these pants is an understatement. They are everything you love about the regular align pant but with a higher waistline. At the time of the release of this blog post, these pants are currently not being sold in store. You can only purchase them online and I’m not exactly sure why but either way if you haven’t tried them I am here to tell you why these super high rise aligns are AH-MAZING!
There are three main reasons why I love them so much. The first is how the extra high waist is so so perfect for pregnancy. The super high rise is the only legging that doesn’t roll down my growing belly. It’s super annoying to constantly hike up your pants mid yoga class or even just taking ten steps to the fridge. I can go from mountain pose to forward fold without having these pants roll down. The normal align waistline rolls down my belly during a yoga class, which distracts me from the present moment when I have to spend time pulling them up.
The second main reason I love the super high rise aligns is because I use them post pregnancy to help with compression. This will be my third cesarean birth and these are the only pants that give me just the right amount of compression and comfort over my incision. (The wunder unders would offer way too much compression after a c-section).
The third reason is that I don’t need to size up to accommodate my baby bump as these pants grow and bounce back with your body.
These pants are also great for the yogi looking for extra coverage. Tis’ the season for crop tops (and Lulu has some pretty cute ones out now) that when combined with a super high waistline this 30 something mom actually feels ok and confident pulling the crop top look off.
The only downfall I see with these pants is that they don’t allow you to order them in 25” length. I’m 5’6ish maybe a bit taller and usually order my pants with an inseam of 25”. I don’t like the look of crop on my body, which is the 21” as I prefer my pants to hit my ankles and the 28” is too long. Lulu does however, hem for free if you bring them into store (another reason why I love Lulu so dang much). I just order my super high rise aligns in 28” as I don’t mind the extra length at the bottom but if it bothers you I would suggest getting them hemmed. And perhaps in the near future Lulu will offer these pants in 25” length, which would be so great for me and others my height! They also don’t offer as many colour options or prints in the super high rise but still have enough to do damage to the wallet.
Until next blog…let your mind be fierce, heart kind and soul at peace.
Namaste,
britt
